The Scandinavian style is renowned for its minimalist elegance, cozy ambiance, and a soft glow that encapsulates the magic of the season. One of the easiest ways to bring this charm into your home is by crafting DIY Christmas paper lantern in Scandinavian style. These lanterns are beautiful, functional, and ideal for DIY enthusiasts. In this post, I’ll walk you through the process of creating your own lanterns using SVG cutting files.

DIY Christmas Paper Lantern

DIY Christmas paper lantern in Scandinavian style

Easy to make beautiful Christmas decor – Scandinavian paper lantern. Available in SVG and Silhouette Studio. You will need white cardstock and vellum paper. I like to cover the sides of the lantern with vellum. It makes candle light softer and more cozy.

I have added beautiful Nordic Christmas motifs to each side of the lantern which create the cutouts for the light to shine through. The height of the lantern is 10 cm and the bottom is 10×10 cm. It can hold one LED tealight. And due to the tab on one of the sides you can easily move the lantern without worrying that the tealight candle would fell out.

Scandinavian-inspired lanterns combine simplicity and elegance, reflecting the warm, hygge-filled vibes of the season. With clean white cardstock and the gentle diffusion of light through vellum, these lanterns create a serene and festive atmosphere. Whether displayed on a mantel, as a centerpiece, or hanging near a window, they add an enchanting glow to your décor.
