I absolutely love designing unique and wow-effect gift box svg cutting files. This chocolate bar box is very dear to me because it took me many hours to create and perfect it to make it easy for you to cut and assemble. There’s something incredibly satisfying about crafting personalized and stunning packaging that makes any gift feel extra special. I hope to inspire you to make your own beautiful boxes and add a unique and heartfelt element to your gift-giving. Whether it’s for a birthday, anniversary, or just because, these custom-made gift box cutting files help turn ordinary gifts into extraordinary surprises, making every moment memorable for the people you love and care about.
Sometimes the little things make the biggest impression. This DIY paper box isn’t just functional, it’s memorable. Here’s why:
- It’s personal. A handcrafted gift box shows thought and care.
- It’s reusable. Once opened, this 3D box becomes a keepsake or can even be passed along to someone else.
- It’s chocolate. I mean, who doesn’t love a perfectly wrapped chocolate bar?
Perfect for teachers, coworkers, family members, or friends who appreciate handmade touches, this DIY project is as satisfying to create as it is to give.
• Chocolate Bar Box SVG (Gift Box SVG, 3D SVG)
• Chocolate Bar Box small SVG (Gift Box SVG, 3D SVG)
Features:
- Compatible with major electronic cutting machines
- Detailed video instructions
- DXF files can be used by Silhouette users. This format can be opened with the free software version of Silhouette Studio.
- SVG files – for Cricut Explore, Silhouette Designer Edition, Brother Scan and Cut “Canvas” software, Adobe Suite, Inkspace, Corel Draw and more.
For Cricut users: use SVG cutting file named “Cricut SOLID score lines” if you want to use score tool with your Cricut machine. Yes, you have to “attach” the score lines to the cut lines manually in your Cricut Design Space – this is how Cricut program works. If you don’t know how to use Attach in Design Space, please read the instructions on the Cricut website
What You’ll Need
Before we jump into the how-to, here’s the quick checklist:
- Cardstock: Go for medium-weight cardstock (30x30cm (12 x 12 inches) works great).
- Cutting machine: A Cricut, Silhouette, or another machine that supports SVG and DXF files.
- Glue: To secure the edges neatly.
- My 3D Chocolate Bar Box cutting file: Designed to make your life easier. Download it, load it, and start cutting.
Optional: embellishments like ribbons, stickers, or gift tags to personalize your box further.
All parts of the cutting file are designed to fit on the Portrait size as well as Cameo 30 x 30 cm (12×12 inches) cutting mat.
So you can see that the box is big enough to hold quite big present or many small ones. It looks very realistic and you can also use it as a photo prop or party decoration.
The chocolate bar box is easy to assembly. In the end of this blog post you’ll find the video tutorial. On video I use the usual glue but I recommend to use hot glue gun especially if you take thick cardstock to make the box.
Creative Ways to Use the 3D Paper Chocolate Bar Gift Box
The beauty of this project lies in its versatility. Here are a few ideas to spark your imagination:
- Teacher Appreciation: Pair this box with a thank-you note. It’s a sweet way to show gratitude.
- Party Favors: Make these boxes match your party theme and hand them out as favors at birthdays, baby showers, or weddings.
- Valentine’s Day: Use pinks, reds, and heart motifs for the ultimate love-filled treat.
- Random Acts of Kindness: Drop off a chocolate box for a friend, neighbor, or coworker who could use a pick-me-up.
This chocolate bar gift box I made in April 2017. The assembly method is also easy but a bit different than in the new boxes.
