I love finding new ways to bring texture and dimension into my work as a paper artist, and lately I’ve been completely inspired by the look of macrame. So today I want to share how I created these Paper Macrame Wall Hanging SVG designs using delicate cuts and 3D paper flowers.

When I started experimenting with this idea, I wanted to capture that handcrafted macrame feel—but in paper. The result is a collection of lightweight, detailed wall hangings that combine intricate cut patterns with vibrant 3D paper art elements. Each design feels like a small statement piece, perfect for decorating a nursery, craft room, or seasonal display.

The first design has a soft, romantic look. I used a light paper base with a flowing fringe pattern that mimics traditional macrame knots. On top, I added a large blush-toned rose bloom surrounded by small layered leaves, rose hips and tiny accents. It feels gentle and airy, and I imagine it working beautifully for spring decor or even as part of a Mother’s Day setup. This is one of my favorite examples of how a simple paper flower SVG design can transform into something dimensional and elegant.

The second design is a bit more playful and colorful. I kept the same macrame-inspired structure but added a mix of bright florals—small blue blossoms, 3D paper clover flowers, and a big daisy. As a paper artist, I love how color changes the mood completely. This version feels cheerful and lively, almost like a celebration piece. It’s a great reminder that paper crafts don’t have to stay neutral—you can really experiment and make them pop.

The third design is more bold and dramatic. The base pattern is slightly denser, giving it a stronger visual presence, and I paired it with a large red poppy flower as the centerpiece. Around it, I layered daisies and warm-toned leaves and wheat ears to create depth. This one really highlights the beauty of 3D paper flowers and how they can become the focal point of your 3D paper art.

What I enjoy most about working on these Paper Macrame Wall Hanging SVG designs is how they combine structure and creativity. The cut file gives you the base, but the final look depends on your color choices, layering, and how you assemble your flowers. That’s what makes these kinds of paper crafts so satisfying—you can recreate the design or make it completely your own.

Happy crafting!
