Free Feather SVG – Delicate, Lacy & Ready for Boho Vibes
New free design is here! It’s delicate, detailed, and gives off total boho-elegant vibes. If you’re into paper crafting, card making, or decorating with a handmade touch, this free feather SVG is such a dreamy little addition to your collection.
I designed this feather with swirling cut-outs that mimic lace — not too tricky for your machine, but just enough detail to look totally impressive when it’s done. Let’s dive into how you can use it, what you get, and some fun ideas to try with it!
Seriously, it’s not just another feather. This one has soft, swooping curves, lace-style cut-outs inside the feather, a slightly whimsical shape that feels light and airy, works in all sizes — from mini embellishments to full wall art. And yes, it cuts like a dream if you’re using mid-weight cardstock or even layered vinyl.
This free feather SVG comes in these file versions:
- SVG for Cricut, Silhouette Studio’s Designer Edition and above, ScanNCut software, etc.
- DXF for Silhouette users with the free version of Silhouette Studio.
- EPS for Adobe Illustrator, Inkspace, Corel Draw and more.
- PNG files for sticker making with Cricut or Silhouette cutting machines; and for sublimation.
- If you are using any of the paid upgrades to Silhouette Studio then use the SVGs.
I always test my designs before sharing, and here are my fave ways to use this one:
- Layered greeting cards – try shimmer or pearlescent cardstock for extra wow
- Boho-style wall decor – cut 3-5 feathers and string them on twine
- Journals & scrapbooks – add a mini version as a page embellishment
- Gift tags – hang one from a kraft paper-wrapped gift
- Decorative bookmarks – laminate after cutting and tie with a soft ribbon
It’s one of those versatile shapes you’ll keep coming back to.
I love detailed cuts, but I’ve also wasted paper on messed-up settings. Here’s what works best with this one:
Use 120–160 gsm cardstock – not too thin or it’ll tear
For vinyl, slow down your cutting speed a bit
Weed gently from the bottom up – those swirls can be sneaky
Want to add sparkle? Layer with glitter paper underneath the feather!
Boho, Elegant, and Handmade – Just My Style
I designed this feather because I wanted something soft and flowing to go with my other lace-cut SVG. You know I love adding light, airy elements to paper crafts. I can see this design as part of a handmade wedding invite or even a cozy autumn card with copper foil cardstock.
I hope you enjoyed this design too. Don’t forget to browse blog tag Free cutting files.
Happy crafting!
