Assembly tutorial
This is the base of the card where the rotating part goes.
Step 1. Adhere a lattice pie crust layer on the filling layer.
Step 2. IMPORTANT! To allow the rotating piece to move freely inside the card, make sure to leave space for it between the layers. Apply glue only along the outer edge of the piece. When attaching the lattice crust with filling layer to the circular card base, do not glue the center area. This will create a gap between the two layers, allowing the rotating piece to move smoothly inside.
Step 3. Adhere the lattice crust with filling layer on the card base aligning with the mark.
This is the rotating part of the card and you don’t need to adhere it to the card base.
Why the rotating part is not the full circle? If you make it the full circle, so when you hold the card you is going to press the card layers together with the rotating part inside preventing it from rotating.
This is where the rotating part goes inside the card. And this is the reason why the decor is located to the right and above the spoon – to make it easy to hold the card with one hand, use the other to rotate the spoon and not interfere with the rotating part.
I was testing the rotating movement upward and down. The upward movement doesn’t work well, so I stick to the down movement for this type of cards.
Inserting the rotating part is as easy as pie 🙂
